Camp FAQs

Can I book a camp through the site?

No. However links are provided for all listings – some have online booking systems and others require you to contact them directly to book.

What if there is a conflict between information provided here versus at the link provided?

The most accurate information on camps can be found at the links provided. If there is a conflict in information then the camp organisers site is the most up-to-date. Please let me know if you spot an inconsistency or error.

How much does it cost to list a camp?

Nothing. It’s free. The site is run on a voluntary basis by a stay-at-home mum. I understand not all camp organisers can afford to pay to promote their camp. But also parents have no quality source of information and often struggle to know what camps are on offer. And it’s even harder for tourists. While listings are free there is an option to provide a ‘tip’ if you found the site useful here. There are also options to advertise or pay to have your listing appear as a featured listing. Any contribution is very much appreciated.

How do I add my camp?

There are a few ways to add your camp:

  • via the form below
  • by email to thekerrymam@gmail.com
  • Via direct message to this Instagram account or by tagging me in your camp announcement.
How do I remove my camp
from the site?

Just drop us an email to thekerrymam@gmail.com with your camp name and we’ll be in touch.

How do I make suggestions or provide feedback?

Just drop us an email to thekerrymam@gmail.com. We’d love to hear from you.

Why is a listing appearing without details of any upcoming camps?

This means that the provider usually runs camps in the category selected (Summer, Easter etc) however specific details are not yet announced. If it is a camp you are interested in it is always worth checking the website and / or social media links provided for news and updates.

I clicked on the category ‘Summer Camps’ but Easter Camp information is appearing. Why?

All camps for an individual supplier appear on the same listing. It is likely the supplier usually runs camps in the category selected but details are not yet available or updated on our site. See previous answer.

Summer Camps are a great option over the Summer months to keep kids active (check out HSE guidance on recommended activity levels & screentime). Not to mention giving parents a much needed break from keeping them entertained!

This site originated in Kerry in 2021 when I struggled to find information on what was available for kids in the County (I’m a blow in originally from Connaught and moved to Kerry after a decade in the corporate world in Dublin). So I know lots of people who spend a week or two of the Summer or longer visiting family or going on staycations – so figure the site might be helpful for people moving around the country over the Summer.

Camps are updated here daily so if you haven’t found what you’re looking for today then please check back again later.
