Italian Summer Camp at the University of Galway
Description
Are you a secondary school student interested in learning more about the “Bel Paese”? Take part in the third edition of our Italian Summer Camp!
During this two-week immersion in Italian language and culture, held on the University of Galway Campus, you will:
1. Learn how to communicate in Italian in basic everyday situations with language and intercultural activities based on interactive games, sport and performing arts;
2. Gain and practice your creative and expressive skills in ad-hoc workshops on culture (e.g. arts and crafts, cinema, food, music, sport, etc.)
3. Discover key elements of Italian culture through experiences, including a cooking class, the screening of an iconic Italian movie, an innovative lab of audiovisual translation for creating cartoons, a jam session and much much more.
During this camp, you will have the opportunity to get out of your comfort zone both by expressing your creativity and by using basic Italian phrases. You will be immersed in an encouraging and inclusive environment and you will be guided in your learning experience by expert Italian teachers. At the end of the two weeks, you will also get to become the protagonist of a talent show in the style of an Italian “varietà”, after which you will be awarded a special prize as a memory of your Italian adventure.
